We would rather run a short network we can stand behind than a long directory of anyone who signed up. Every firm we introduce you to has been checked against the same bar, and we turn away more than we take on. This page explains how that selection works.
The accreditations we require
We only introduce you to firms that hold the right credentials for the work in question: MCS certification, TrustMark registration or PAS 2035 accreditation. Those are the same accreditations that grant-funded work, including ECO and the Warm Homes: Local Grant, generally requires, so a firm that cannot show them is one we will not pass your details to. Where the work is grant-funded, we check the accreditation covers that specific measure, not just the company in general.
What we check before a firm joins
Accreditation is the floor, not the whole test. Before a firm can receive an introduction from us we confirm:
- The certifications above are live and current, verified against the issuing body rather than taken on the firm's word.
- They are a real trading company we have a supplier agreement with, not an affiliate link or a lead broker reselling your details on.
- They cover the type of work you are asking about: insulation, heat pumps, solar or assessment, rather than quoting for anything and everything.
- They work within a defined geographic area, so we only introduce you to someone who can actually reach your property.
How we keep the network honest
A firm staying on the list is not automatic. We watch what happens after an introduction, and how a company treats the people we send it is part of whether it stays. If accreditations lapse, if we hear about pressure selling or poor work, or if a firm stops being a good fit, we remove it. We would rather have a gap in an area than keep someone on who should not be there.
If nobody in our network covers you
Our installers each work within a defined area, so there will be places we cannot yet cover. If your property falls outside every partner's patch, we will tell you that rather than pass your details on to someone who cannot help.
How we are paid
We may be paid a fee or commission when a partner quotes for or completes work for you. That is paid by the installer and never changes the price you are quoted. We are telling you this here because you should be able to see the incentive behind a recommendation, and because it is exactly why we vet firms as tightly as we do: our name is on the introduction.

What we share, and when
Nothing goes anywhere unless you tick the sharing box on a quote form. If you do, we pass your name, contact details and property details to up to three firms from our network so they can quote for the work. If you do not, we still answer your enquiry, we just do it ourselves.
