The logo

The EPCGuide mark is a house silhouette containing a seven-bar EPC band chart. Use the variant that best fits your background.

Primary icon

Use on white or light backgrounds.

The story behind the mark

The house is the property. The coloured bars are the real distribution of UK EPC ratings (A best, G worst) across 29.2 million certificates, which forms a bell curve peaking at band D.

That peak sits exactly where most rental homes are today, one band below the C target landlords must hit. The logo literally encodes the problem the site solves.

Typography

EPCGuide uses the native system UI sans-serif stack (font-sans) for headings and UI. No web font is loaded, which keeps every page fast.

“EPC” in primary-800, “Guide” in accent-600, bold weight, tight tracking.

Headings & body

Energy Performance, made simple

Body copy uses neutral greys for comfortable reading at length. EPCGuide explains complex public guidance in plain English so landlords can make better-informed property decisions.

Usage

Do

  • Keep generous clear space around the mark on every side.
  • Use the gradient icon tile on white or light backgrounds.
  • Use the white mark on dark backgrounds and the navy mark in mono.
  • Preserve the seven EPC band colours exactly as supplied.

Don't

  • Recolour, reorder or remove the EPC band bars.
  • Stretch, squash, rotate or otherwise distort the mark.
  • Place the gradient icon on a busy photo or low-contrast surface.
  • Rebuild the wordmark in a different font or weight.
